Surabaya, Indonesia — UMC today announced a comprehensive update to its system fleet operations as part of an ongoing initiative to improve operational efficiency and streamline resource utilization across multiple computing environments.

Updated System Role Assignments:

  • ThinkPad L15 Gen 2a – Reassigned from Daily Driver to Diagnostics.
  • IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH6 (replaced by Legion 5 15AKP10) – Maintains its dual role as Gaming and Daily Driver.
  • Custom-built Tower – Reconsidered for Multi-Operations, supporting diverse workload environments.
  • Legion Go S – Upgraded from a dedicated Gaming system to a Dual-Operations device serving both Gaming and Daily Driver roles.

“These changes represent our commitment to better allocate computing resources and adapt to evolving operational needs,” said a UMC spokesperson. “By reclassifying our systems, we ensure every unit operates at peak efficiency and continues to meet user demands.”

The reclassification is expected to enhance system reliability, improve diagnostics workflow, and support cross-platform gaming performance across the UMC network.
