Official Announcement: UMC's Laptop Guidelines of Goods Policy

    United Metrolite Central (UMC) is implementing new policy called "Laptop Guidelines of Goods Policy (LGG)" policies that ensures approval from UMC testing and environment conditions. To enhance the policy, the standards must be approved for UMC projects to ensure compliance with both TKDN-compliant and imported products that meet our criteria.

The policy will be take effect on May 27, 2025.

Under this policy:

  • TKDN-compliant laptops will be prioritized to support local industry and align with national regulations.

  • Imported laptops will be authorized for UMC projects based on strict evaluation and approval processes.

  • All products—whether TKDN or imported—must meet specific quality, performance, and sustainability criteria to be eligible under LGG.

Effective date: May 27, 2025.
